International Mobile Subscriber Identity. Código de identificación único para cada dispositivo de telefonía móvil. Está integrado en la tarjeta SIM.

Es el número que conecta el equipo con su red proveedora.

El código IMSI es el encargado de realizar las llamadas desde sitios donde no opera la compañía telefónica (Roaming).

El código IMSI se compone de:

• Mobile Country Code (MCC): 3 dígitos
• Mobile Network Code (MNC): 2 o 3 dígitos

The combination of MCC and MNC is called HNI (Home network identity) and is the combination of both in one string (e.g. MCC= 262 and MNC = 01 results in an HNI of 26201). If you combine the HNI with the MSIN (Mobile Subscriber Identification Number) the result is the so called IMSI (integrated mobile subscriber identify).
